About Us

KLCAS offers direct services to families through Family Support and Connections (FS&C) and Klamath & Lake Homeownership Center (KLHC).

FS&C receives grant funding through the Department of Human Services (DHS).  We adhere to DHS guidelines of background checks and confidentiality, as well as following standards of Best Practices.

Family Support and Connections Family Mentoring Program provides volunteer mentors with a family to be a positive role model and to provide support as the family discovers its own strengths and learns to overcome life's challenges.

About Our Volunteer Mentor ProgramImage: Mother and daughter

Volunteering benefits families: Families receive emotional support from their volunteer mentor as they work toward becoming financially stable.

Families and volunteers monthly newsletter: The monthly newsletter highlights community resources and events that they can enjoy together or with their own families.   Social events such as bowling parties, picnics, and fishing events are provided by FS&C staff for mentors and their families. Volunteers also help families with goal setting, budgeting, nutrition, parenting, or other subjects at the families' request.
